What’s new

We do not try to outpace the official project page at listing every file and hash. Instead, this page tells you how to read updates as a player and when to reread the guides here.

First source: release notes on Modrinth

Open the version list and read the line for the build you are about to install. Authors usually call out breaking changes, new dependencies, and save migration notes. If a line is short, the change might be small, but a backup is still cheap.

A healthy update habit

  1. Back up the world and your launcher profile, under a dated name you will recognize tomorrow.
  2. Update Create and shared libraries first, then Aeronautics, in the order the project page suggests.
  3. Launch a test copy of the world in single-player before you invite the whole server.
  4. If a guide page on this site suddenly feels out of date after a big patch, start with Troubleshooting and the in-game book; we refresh copy when major tone shifts land.

This site, after a big patch

Large rewrites to recipes or core physics are when you should re-skim Getting started, Mechanics, and Building. Small numbers-only fixes rarely need a full reread. When in doubt, trust a fresh creative world over an old save until you are sure the numbers feel right.
